About this tool
Compress image resizes and re-encodes a picture in this browser. JPEG and WebP can step down in quality. PNG is lossless, so it gets smaller by shrinking pixel dimensions when a size goal asks for that. Location data is not copied into the new file. The tool stops at a floor and the status line tells you the size it reached. HEIC and AVIF open only when this browser already understands them.
Compress image stays on this device. The download is the copy you keep, and Weesize does not store a second one. Close the tab when you are finished and the bytes are gone.
