Hot folders is for desktop Chromium. Other browsers get one line explaining the feature is hidden because the file-system picker is missing. You pick an input folder and the app writes copies into a Weesize output folder. It does not overwrite or delete the original. Watching uses a five-second check while the tab is open, and the page says the work runs only while Weesize is open. A permission error pauses that file and the queue continues. The activity log stays in the page. Closing the tab stops the watch. Nothing is uploaded to keep the watch alive.

Hot folders stays on this device. The download is the copy you keep, and Weesize does not store a second one. Close the tab when you are finished and the bytes are gone.

• No upload: the folder permission stays in this browser and the bytes are copied on this machine.
• Speed: the file does not travel to a server and back, so the wait is only the work itself.
• Quality: the original is kept when the new file would be worse or is not actually smaller.
